How do you do division?

I don't know that much about divison or math, I want to learn more about division and math. please give serious answers

Division is very easy once you get the hang of it! Division is just like subtracting except in a faster way.Lets say you had a math problem and it was 42 divided by 7.So you would subtract 7 until you get to 0 and the answer would be 6. Or if you can do multiplacation it would go like this... Lets say this time the problem is 54 divided by 9. Now what times 9 = 54? The answer would be 6! Well, I hope that I could help! Start with your basic apple> you want to share it with your friend. You divide by the 2 of you & have a half of apple each.

Now, try it with a dollar> you have 3 friends & want to divide it up 4 ways equally.  It's written like this $1.00 ÷ 4 = 25¢.  You test your answer by multiplying your answer by the number you divided by >> 4 x 25¢ = $1.00

If the your answer comes out evenly, a whole number is your answer like 25¢.  If there's any left over, you have a remainder.  

Let's say you have 50¢ & want to divide by 3.  Again, it's written like this 50¢ ÷ 3 = 18, with a remainder of 2.  To test > 18 x 3 = 48 + 2 = 50¢
