How do you do the drum roll on rock band PS2??

every time i do a drum roll like red,yellow,blue,and green it messes me up.

hit the drum as fast as you can. the drums dont bounce the stick back like normal drums.

A true drum roll on these drum pads is much different than a real drum. to do the drum rolls, you have to have tons of practice, perfect timing, and incredible luck.  I've gotta agree with goozex guy here. The best way to do these is to just swing the sticks at the speed needed for said drum roll. Just make sure that u stay in rhythm while you do it -- thats probably what's throwing you off. Those notes are either 16th notes or 32nd notes, depending on the song -- so yeah, just drum fast
