-4X+2-3X-5+3+2X+4X+3

im going to be starting algebra 2 in my second year so to get prepaired i trying to remember some equations i forgot over the break. can u show me how to do this type of problem. and im going to pick for best answer thanks.

  1. First we need to take the like terms together:

    -4x + 2 - 3x - 5 + 3 + 2x + 4x + 3

    becomes

    -4x -3x + 2x + 4x + 2 -5 + 3 + 3

    which can be reduced at

    -x + 3

  2. Combine like terms. Combine all of the x-terms and the constant (number alone) terms, separately, in this problem.

    = -4X - 3X + 2X + 4X + 2 - 5 + 3 + 3

    = (-4-3+2+4)X + 2 - 5 + 3 + 3

    = -1X + 3

    = -X + 3

  3. you add like terms   -4x-3x+2x+4x = -1x

      2-5+3+3= 3  

    the answer is -1x+3
