  1. Format > Borders and Shading > Shading  and choose a grey colour.

  2. create a table the lengh you want the grey box to go > type in your word > center it> then use the fill in tool to colour in the table wtvr colour u want......

    EDIT!!

this is to the genius 2 posts down from me.....are u stupid? you really think that a guy who is having trouble with getting  grey boxs on his CV  would post a picture of his own  CV and then ask us how to do it.....hmm ill just let that one sink in

and then there is the dead give away" SAMPLE Copyright CVConsultants" WaterMark......so if that was his CV that would mean that he works for the company and or payed them to make the CV for him... classssssicccc

lol stupid ppl are funny :D

http://cvconsultants.co.uk/cv_templates/... <<< wow and they even used his CV that he is having trouble making as a templet for there site :O

  3. The easiest way in word is to type it out.

Then highlight the row of text

click Format on the top tool bar >insert Text Box>right click the text box >borders and shading >select a fill. select more colours to get a real light grey, from the hue.

Once you done the first one, you can copy and paste it and use the keyboard arrows to position it, then change the text in it.

  4. Do you realise that you have just given your home address, name and email address out over the internet. That is very dangerous practice. Someone can steal your ID or you can get loads of junk mail now. I would withdraw your question.
