How do you do wi fi battles and wi fi trades in pokemon pearl?

Ok,everything seems so confusing like registering friends and codes,so how do you do that as well?And what do I have to do to do wi fi battles and trades?Where do you go?How to do it?

I need a HUGE walkthrough/answer of this.

OK then

firstly you need to get a pal pad from the place underneath the pokecenter. talk to the person at the counter.

once you have a pal pad look at it (in key items) it will say your name and your code. you have to register friends by adding there names and codes to the pal pad.

Ok... next if you want to trade with anyone in the world you should use the gts which is a big building on the far west of jubilife city. You need to have seen the pokemon you want (seen it in your pokedex) to be able to get it in gts.

to do battles you have to do this with friends you have registered on your pal pad and you can do this by going under the pokecenter agian and going in to the union room at the same time as your friends. there you can trade battle etc.

You need this thing called Nintendo wifi connection usb,it can be sold at any eletronic store. Its 40.00 bucks.
