  1. Rev it at about 4000 or 5000 rpm and lift the clutch up as quick as you can

  2. >> How do you drive a stick shift?

You can see how it is done on You tube.  But like riding a bicycle, you can only learn by actually doing it.

They are simpler machines than auto tranny. Also they get better gas efficiency than auto tranny

    good Luck...

  3. you just gotta practice and rember that timing is everythign with the clutch and gas pedal.  Its cheaper because a manual transmisson is easier to repair

  4. They are cheaper because a manual box is easier to construct and also to repair. Manuals are also quicker and give you more MPG.

You drive it using a clutch, you change gear according to road conditions (which is why I prefer manual). For example if the road is icy you can use 4th or 5th gear at 30mph to limit the amount of torque so you dont wheel spin.

You pull away in 1st gear (or second sometimes on a steep hill going down) by bringing the revs up and engaging the clutch smoothely. once you are moving you can change up when required (usually when your pistons have gone through the bonnet!). Simple.
