  1. oooh i did this in freshman year (high school).

what are the restrictions (materials you cant use/size/weight/speed)?

    -put it in bubble wrap

-put a sheet on top like a parachute

-if there is no weight restriction, put the egg in a box filled w/ rice

-if you can make sure it lands on the tip, put in something in the middle of a piece of paper shaped like a cone (maybe a weight in the tip?)

aah it was 3 years ago i cant remember what i did...hope this helps, good luck!

p.s. if i look back later and you put up the restrictions, i might be able to add more...

  2. use a parachute out of news papers so it will have more air resistance.

  3. Wrap the egg in a wet disposable diaper (you can use tap water to make it wet).

Once in a while there is a news report of a baby falling a couple of stories and living because it landed on its wet disposable diaper.

  4. There are a lot of devices you could build to protect the egg. I had to do this once for a physics class, and there were some cool designs. We got prizes for lowest weight so I designed mine using coat hangers to make a huge sturdy wire sphere frame, then i suspended the egg in the middle using wide rubber bands. When the sphere hit the ground the egg was able to move around inside the sphere because of the rubber bands, and that absorbed all the shock leaving the egg intact. If you were to try this just be sure to make a very large sphere so the egg has lots of wiggle room.

  5. Parachute

  6. we did this in my high school! we dropped an egg from a balcony, and we wrapped it in styrofoam and bubble wrap i think. someone else tried putting the egg in a pringles can with a lot of molasses, and that worked when dropping it from a ladder, but not from the balcony.

  7. Make the egg hard boiled and wrap it in bubble wrap and drop it with a mini parachute.

  8. wrap the egg up in something. ohhh like that weird styrofoam-like squishy stuff lol hehehe x*x turtle chicky

  9. you cannot.

There is no way you can drop an egg from a significant height onto a hard surface and not have it break.

  10. I carved a piece of foam rubber into a bomb shape, hollowed out the center for the egg, and used thread to seal it.  The end of the bomb was no shaped like a real bomb (V shape for aerodynamics).  Instead, it was the opposite so that the outer edge hit the ground first, sending the shock wave along the outer skin.  Got second place based on weight.

The winning design was sphere made of straws with the egg suspended by rubber bands.

  11. 1st Bubble wrap and then Styrofoam.  Wrapped in that order too.
