How do you dry a rain soaked ball glove?

My kid left my softball mitt in her toy bucket outside, and we just got a terrential downpour. The mitt sat for a couple of days in a waterfilled bucket. I've let it sit in the sun for days, but it's still sopping wet. Any ideas on how to dry it?

  1. I really want to say to blow dry with a hair dryer, but water makes the glove rust. You should try to get another glove. sorry.

  2. throw it in the dryer for a few minutes?

    or use a blow dryer

  3. It will take a long time to dry out after being totally saturated for days in a bucket of water.  You can try the hair dryer, but I would guess you will burn it out before the glove is dry.  The glove is probably toast - when it does finally dry out it will probably never feel the same.

  4. A blow drier will not do anything. Put it in your oven, but do not try and over bake it. You can also try WD-40 sounds stupid to make something wet worse but that's what WD is for. I have also heard of Friends using brake cleaner to dissipate the water but have not done that one yet.
