How do you dump your driving instructor kindly?

Thinking of dumping my driving instructor but how do i do it gently withou hurting their feelings too much?

tell him you cant afford any more and you will call when you are able to start again. i once told mine i lost my job and would ring when i was in a better position. i never did lol.

.....All driving instructors use different methods of teaching. They are aware of this. They are also aware that some methods work well for some people and not at all for others. At the end of the day your paying for the privilege of there services... if its not working out then just say so... they should be professional enough to handle this...

just say that your thankful for there tuition but you want to try out someone else....

don't stress it....

be honest in a nice roundabout way, tell him you dont think you are getting out of his lessons all you think should be and feel you are wasting his time and your money, and if in the future you change your mind you will get back in touch with him, but for now your givin him and you a break.

I had to do this once.  I would explain that you do not feel that you are progressing as quickly as you would like.  

Emphasise that this could be as much your fault as theirs and state it is no reflection on their teaching skills.

Be polite but firm thoug.  Remember it is their business and you are paying for a service.  It is your decision whether you decide the service is fitting your needs. Do not be pressured into continuing.

Either be directly honest with them or tell them that you are either unable to fund your lessons for a while, or tell them that you are thinking about taking a break from driving lessons for a while.

Be honest with them if you can. If they are doing something you don't like, by telling them, they cant learn from it.  They can't learn from their mistakes if people don't tell them what is wrong.

I had to do this after my instructor made a big mistake that made me fail my first test.I would say he played a big part in me failing.

All instructors know (or should know) that everyone has different personalities and techniques. You're the customer, so be honest and just politely tell him you're sure he's an excellent instructor but perhaps not completely suited to you, so you'll be trying someone else for a bit.  He should understand, lots of people change instructors until they find one they can get on with.

Be honest, and tell them straight, at the end of the day you are paying them for a service. If it's not up to scratch, then best to tell them diplomatically so they can improve on it to provide a better service to others in the long run.

I would explain to him/her that you don't feel happy with the instruction being given as it does not seem to suit your particular personality.  You are going to try a different driving school and see if that works for you.  You will be in touch at some future date to let them know how you are doing and thank them for all your efforts so far.  (shake hands)

It is not unusual for pupils to move driving schools if they don't feel happy for whatever reason.  So don't worry about moving schools and instructors.  In fact keep moving until you find an instructor which suits you, after all its your money and driving future which is a stake.
