It depends what you've kind of DVR you have.  TiVo has software that you can use to download shows from the TiVo to your computer, where you can then burn them to DVD easily.  It's one of the reasons that TiVo is better than other DVR options.

you would have to get a DVD recorder. Theyre a bit on the expensive side but you would hook ur DVR up to the DVD recorder then hook ur DVD recorder up to the tv then play the selected show or movie and press record on the DVD recorder and it should record your show to a DVD!
