  1. Don't do it!

There are too many blondes in the world, and dark hair is unique.

But, if you are set on your decision, you will want to go to a salon to get this done if you don't want your hair severely damaged.

But it will cost you money and LOTS of pain, so brace yourself!

Just head into your local salon and ask them to dye your hair blonde.

    GOOD LUCK [dont do it!]

  2. just for an event?

once you bleach it your hair gets VERY damaged.

ive dyed my hair way too many times

and after i bleach my hair literally breaks apart so i havee to take real good care of it

go to a salon and ask them if your hair's strong enough for the bleach because depending on how light you want the colour it effects how many times you have to bleach.

to get platinum you usually have to bleach your hair 2-3 times. which is killer:|

  3. Well, going from black to blonde, while possible (I have done it), it's really hard on your hair.

Going from black all the way to blonde is going to require a hair color stripper, not just bleach. Bleach will lighten the cuticle, but not open up the hair shaft so that ALL the color comes out (which is why you'll see people who had black hair that bleached it end up with orange hair). That's where the color stripper/remover comes into play.

I would STRONGLY suggest having a professional do it. You can seriously damage your hair if you're new to the process. And make sure once you lighten it, that you keep up with a GOOD conditioner or your hair will end up feeling and looking like straw.

    Good luck!

  4. Bleach.
