How do you eat healthyy?

do you really have to go by the whole food pyramid thing??

today so far i ate:

a banana

a bagel with cream cheese

coke zero

everyones always saying to eat right so how do you eat right?

  1. Nah, you just have to make better choices. Say, you were faced with the choice of having a cheeseburger or a grilled chicken sandwich, and fries or vegetables. The better choice, obviously, is grilled chicken and vegetables. The banana and coke zero is good (make sure to drink lots of water too!), but the bagel with cream cheese not so much. A bagel has tons of calories and is the equivalent of 5 slices of bread. It's loaded with carbs. The cream cheese is packed with calories and fat. Eating right is all about making good choices. Make healthier meals. Eat until you're satisfied, not stuffed. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Limit the amount of sugar you eat, but it's OK to have a little piece of chocolate (every day even!) to satisfy a sweet craving. Eating healthier gives you more energy and you feel better about yourself. Good luck!


  2. I don't eat everything in the pyramid because I'm a vegetarian, so I skip the diary and meat.

    I usually eat fruit for breakfast, vegetable for lunch, and soup for dinner.

  3. You don't have to go by the food pyramid at all. You don't even need meat and milk-like products, so ignore that. As an adolescent you should consume about 3,000 to 4,000 calories daily, because your metabolism is really high. You should try to get lots of fruits and veggies, but enjoy your junk food too!

  4. Banana is good....whole wheat bagel with low fat cream cheese would be good. Coke O not so good, you'd be better off drinking water.  

    Just include lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean meats like chicken in your diet. Limit junk food , fast food, foods that are high in sugar, white bread/pasta and soda. Those things should only be eaten in moderation.

  5. Eat lots of fruit and veg and salad 5 a day if possble. Pure fruit juice also counts as one a day.

    Take a good multi vitamin , eat chicken and fish and not too much red meat or fast food, cakes and chocolate.

    Eat fibre, All bran is a good source,and don't have too many fizzy drinks. Buy the low fat versions of foods when you can,

  6. Well, all you've eaten today are carbohydrates (banana, bagel) and fat (cream cheese). You've included no green vegetables or protein.

  7. its very simple. don't each too much starch, such as pasta, cereal, etc.

    for example try eating for breakfast eggs [scrambled, sunny side up, or boiled] and maybe a fruit. for lunch maybe yogurt,salad or veggies. then in dinner eat like veggies  chicken or steak or something with protein and well you know healthy stuff. also don't forget to drink water.

    don't eat too much sugary foods like candy or fattening foods like McDonalds. especially don't eat fried foods.

    by the way coke zero, coke, diet coke, sprite, other sodas are not good. stick with water and maybe juice.

  10. Alot of veggies, fruits, lean meat. Make sure you drink lots of water and take a multi-vitamin everyday.
