yeah, misty's got some good points there. They are good. Its just the word, snails, thats a hurdle.

Overcome that and you'll see why we like them.

I usually find a way to get them in my mouth and then chew with my teeth, eventually I swallow them, send them to my stomach and continue to break them down with all kinds of juices in my body.......

well, you know the rest.

Ummm... you stick it in your mouth, chew, and swallow. JK Escargot, also known as snails, usually doesn't come in a shell, so you just eat it like you would eat anything else I guess. I am not sure if that is what you were wondering, but I do hope I helped!

Try them with a garlicky pesto, or maybe a garlic lemon mayo. You could probably do them with any sauce you'd put with fried clams, oysters, or mussels because the textures and such are alike.

I've never had them fried. I imagine fried snails could be very chewy.

I have had them stewed for a long time, until all but the olive oil has evaporated, and they look fried but remain tender.

First I shell the snails , stew in oil with spices and eat with fork!!!!
