I have a song that i want to shorten. it's an aac file. how can i do that for free? thanks!

  1. Go to download.com. Search for AAC to MP3 then hit Free licenses only on the left panel. Download it, import the converted file to windows movie maker and cut out what you don't want.

    You might even find a program that directly deals with AACs and can split the file. Just search accordingly and read descriptions. Free licenses only all-the-way.
