How do you edit on a sony video camera; model number DCR-HC46?

I have this camera and i don't know how to erase any footage that i took. I go to the play/edit menu and i can't figure out how to do it. Thanks for helping!

  1. You rewind it to the spot where want deleted and you record over it


  2. Well, you just record over it, but I would keep the tapes because they are originals.
