  1. When in the water the water in the hull is pumped out by the bilge pump unless the hose is cracked, loose or the pick-up has come loose and is not down in the bottom. On most models a line from the impeller provides the suction to remove the water. On the Jet Mate, there is an electric pump.

    When out of the water you will need to either roll it on its side if it's a stand-up model, or use a bilge pump device. I just made up a siphon hose with a squeeze bulb on it. That way you can wash out the inside of the engine compartment and then drain the water. Leave the hood open so all the moisture vents out.
