How do you end a text conversation?

Say you have been having a conversation through text with a friend. You ask a question, and the friend answers the question back with a statement. Is it ok to just not write back. Or should u always say ok or something like that. I know open text messages feel awkward sometimes.

  1. It's probably different for certain age groups. But I would always acknowledge the end of the conversation with OK or whatever is appropriate.

  2. Go ahead and text back.  End it like this:

    "Thanks.  That's all I needed."

  3. At the end of your last message , say "ok, talk to you some other time, bye".

  4. I always reply with "[OK] Thanks".

  5. well not sure i think it differs with age.. for me don't text me back with ok... if you say something you should mean it..  more so it helps for the next time you talk or see each other... the only other time it's okay is if you asked for something to say thank you..

But not thanks or TY or anything other then that! but see this is all my personal perfrence... why not ask your friends some my want the reassurance while others might be bothered by it!

The joy of understanding a friend!!!

    :)

  6. This is truly a personal preference thing.  I have friends who could care less if I respond back, and I have other friends you get mad when I don't respond back, even if it's with "Ok" or something like that.  It just depends on the person.

For me, I usually text back "Thanks" or "Ok".
