How do you entertain your baby throughout the day?

I have a 12 week old and..I don't know if I am doing enough to entertain her..what do you do...i.e..music, toys..etc.

I always talked to her, sang to her, read to her. And sometimes played a little music too. Toys are good, as long as they're for the appropriate age, of course.

Make sure you talk and sing to her, you can play peek a boo.  Touch her and hug her and just be there.  Give her time to play by herself too so she learns to intertain herself and self-soothe.   My DD loved her bouncy seat that had toys that hung down from it.  She also loved her swing.  Do a little tummy time each day to strengthen her neck muscles.

I used a baby carrier, and wore my baby around the house as I did light housework.  I would talk and sing to him, and he loved it!  When he wasn't in his carrier, I would read to him, show him magazines and books and his toys.  Older children also provided a wonderful source of entertainment; babies love the sounds of young voices, and his older brother still is his favorite toy.

Just keep the communication flowing.  At that age, they mostly want their moms.  Sing and talk; it doesn't matter what you are saying; she will simply enjoy the sound of your voice.
