I've tried all the ways mentioned. The contents of the document are easily erased, but the title of the document and the pages are still in the saved documents.

  1. What exactly do you mean?

How do you delete?  Move it to the recycle bin.

How do you delete the contents?  Open it and press CTRL+A and delete.

  2. delete it, duh

  3. To delete it, hold the shift key down and hit the delete key.  To move it to the recycle bin just hit the delete key (without the shift key).  You delete all files the same way, whether they were saved in Word or not.
