How do you erase a dvd so it can be recored on again?

if its not a dvd-rw you cant recorded on it no more

dvd-r = dvd recordable ( record once)

dvd-rw = dvd rewritable ( record over and over)

Unless it is an "RW" version, you can't.

If it's a DVD-RW, you can usually find an option on your burning program for erase cd/dvd.  Each program is different, but I think it's found under Extras or Favorites.  It is in my program anyway.
