How do you erase what you searched for on yahoo search. Its always staying up there.?

Every time you search a word it stays in the bar. So when you search for another word starting with that beginning it shows up. I want to erase that bar with the previous words searched.

You can just highlight it then delete it. Or if there are lots of searches made... highlight all of them by holding the contol key then delete.
