  1. I can not perfect my whole meatloaf, so I bake it in a cupcake pan.  It portions everything evenly and makes cute individual loaves. I cook them on 400 for about 25-30 minutes.

  2. This site has some great meat loaf recipes.  And the one I tried cooked perfectly.  It was Grandma's Meatloaf.

    Good luck!

  3. You need to cook it at a lower temperature. Thats my guess.

  4. I make mine in med sized balls. and bake for around 35 to 40 minutes. In fact that's what I made last night.

  5. I never have a problem wit it not cooking evenly. I think it all depends on the amount of tomatoes sauce or kethup you use

  6. There isn't really a "correct time" for cooking meatloaf. It will vary depending on your ingredients and how big it is. I like making mine in a loaf pan with aluminum foil over the top. I don't put any tomato sauce on the top until I remove the foil, about 10 minutes before it's done. I also use 93/7 ground beef, so there is very little fat.

  7. I always use an oval dutch oven with the lid on. Two pounds of meat takes 1.5 hrs at 350. Mom would put bacon strips on top of the loaf and when the bacon looked done so was the loaf but she didnt close it on top.
