How do you explain the results on a box plot?

for example the range where the quartile ranges and medians fall on this range, i understand the concept of the box plot its how then to explain the results which i am confused on

  1. Boxplots tell you where the middle 50% of the distribution lies. The boxplot can therefore give you an idea of how skewed the data values are. For example, you can say that the data which gives a box that is more to the left than another set of values is more positively skewed.

    You can also talk about the "spread" of the values- how widely spread out it is.
