  1. There are basically two ways to install software on your phone - one way will install programs automatically through the device center - the other you'll have to copy manually.

Most software you download for your Pocket PC will install automatically.

First connect your Pocket PC to your Vista PC.  It should be shown as conencted in the device center.

Now check the file you want to install - if its a .ZIP file unzip the contents (search google if you need help with this step)

The easiest thing to do now is to try and run the file you downloaded - most games and programs will work this way - it should start running the installer.  Follow the onscreen instructions and it should install onto your Pocket PC automatically.

If the file you downloaded is a .CAB file or is meant to be manually copied onto your phone you'll have to use the Device Center.  Open it up.

Click on "File Management" and then "Browse the contents of your device".

This should open up a new Explorer Window - you're now able to browse the contents of your Pocket PC.  You should see at least one storage device - if your Pocket PC has a Storage Card you'll be able to see that as well.

Double click on the first one - this will take you to the "root".  Now you can simply drag the file(s) you downloaded into the window and they'll be copied onto your Pocket PC.

Last step - go to your Pocket PC - click on the start menu (top left) - programs - and launch the "File Explorer".  Use this to find your file - the fastest way to get to your file is to click near the top of the screen - you'll see a grey bar that displays the current folder followed by a little triangle pointing down - click on that and select "My Device".

You should now be able to find the files you copied over - if they were .CAB files - double tap them to begin installation.

    Good Luck!
