  1. (x² - 1) (x² + 1)

    (x - 1) (x + 1) (x² + 1)

  2. a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b)

    x^4 - 1

    = (x^2)^2 - (1^2)^2

    = (x^2 + 1)(x^2 - 1)

    = (x^2 + 1)(x + 1)(x - 1)

  3. Its the difference of 2 squares

    (x^2 + 1)(x^2 - 1)

    = (x^2 + 1)(x + 1)(x - 1)
