Question:

How do you feed a 6 week old kitten?

i hav sum stray kittens and their mother died and i dnt kno how to feed them when i put cat milk down in a saucer some eat others want instead they l**k it off their paws or off the floor and it makes a mess EVERYWHERE

  1. I think at 6 weeks they should be fine to start them on some dry/wet food.

Don't worry about the ones that eat, they will be fine.As for the ones that won't.Go to your local pet store, (I know Pet Smart carries it), and get a kit for abandoned kittens.It has a special formula for young kittens, and a bottle for feeding.I had to feed a very tiny kitten this way that my mother cat left at my front door.It was no more than 4", and it's siblings were normal size at about 8 weeks.It gained weight quickly, but was always very petite.Yours should soon be eating on their own.They might take canned food better at first.

  4. Try them with some kitten food, You will have to put some in the mouths and try and feed them as they wont be used to eating.

    How do You know the Mother is dead ??
