What I mean is how many times do you feed cereal and how do you make it? Do you feed her number 1 baby food in a jar? and how many times a day should she eat a bottle of milk and how much milk at a time?

  1. My daughter is 6 months and her schedule looks like this:

    6:00 a.m. - 5 ounces formula

    9:30 a.m. - 5 ounces formula

    11:30 a.m.- 1/2 container veggies, 1/2 container fruit, 4 ounces water

    1:00 p.m.- 5 ounces formula

    4:30 p.m. - 5 ounces formula

    6:00 p.m.- 1/2 container veggies, 1/2 container fruit, 4 ounces water

    8:30 p.m.- 5 ounces formula

    1:30 a.m.- 5 ounces formula

The fruit and veggies are the Gerber 2nd foods.

    Good luck!

  2. at six months old, your baby should be eating more solid food, and slowly cutting down on the breast milk (or formula). I would start with a bottle in the morning, followed by a jar of baby food..if baby has not had much experience with solids I would stick with number 1 otherwise stage 2 is fine. I always mix the bananas with the rice cereal. To make the cereal just mix it with formula or breast milk. At lunch offer solids first then a bottle, most babies will want a bottle between lunch and dinner, then you give them dinner with another bottle. My baby always wants to nurse before bed..:) Generally let your baby guide you on when he is hungry, It is good to offer solids before the bottle except  the morning feeding when baby is usually most hungry. good luck

  3. feed her 1/2 milk breast/ bottle and1/2 jar food with lil pastic spoon no cereal

  4. Baby should have as much milk (formula or breast) as she's been having all along. Solids, if given at all (she still doesn't really need them) are for fun and practice, to introduce new tastes and textures.

So offer her usual bottles, then, if you wish, once or twice  a day, after her bottle, offer some solid foods.

Depending on what she likes, her hunger, and your preferences, you can give cereal (mix it with a little formula, or with juice or water; different babies prefer different thicknesses, so experiment), or stage one or stage two babyfood, or home-made babyfood, or, if she's ready, she can start with table foods.

There is no one 'right' way to do this (beyond being sure that she still gets enough breastmilk/formula), so whatever works for you, and baby enjoys, is fine.

  5. First of all she needs to be drinking the same amount of milk she has been drinking all along. If she takes less milk, drop the solids down because solids should be EXTRA at this stage. First you start with rice cereal. Get 1 teaspoon of rice cereal and mix in her usual milk so that it is just a little thicker than her milk. The best time to do it is when she is least fussy, not tired and not over hungry. Always give her milk first. Increase the thickness of the rice as the week wears on by adding less milk and after a week try some veggies eg carrot, swede, potato. Only add one new food per day and try for at least 2 days. This way if she is allergic, you will know whats caused it. Only then would I suggest the jars of food. Have fun.

  6. This is a meal plan that I found and have recently started using with my daughter who is 6 months.

We have been following this for the past few days, and so far it's going great! I always make sure to give her the milk first and than the solids afterwards, because they say breastmilk and formula is still priority as far as nutrition is concerned.

Also, making your own baby food at home is very easy. Here is a link with some recipes.

    Good luck with everything!

and about a bottle of milk if its trirsty mabey 2 or a little bit more

  8. Cereal: Mushed up wheet-a-bix in the morning. Make with milk, and mush with a spoon.

pLeAsE tell me you didn't just type baby food in a jar?! O.o' All babies love mushy bananas, and when i was little, i liked cut up grapes.

Give the baby milk when she/he cries. If they reject the bottle, wait awhile.

  9. uhm does a 6 month old even eat cereal..... but if you want to feed cereal you get a bowl, pour cereal in it, pour some milk in and voila cereal alla huuhxx

  10. you should go to the pediatrician and ask him/her for a proper feeding schedule

  11. it all really depends on the baby i started mine on a little baby rice at about 11am after his morning bottle just to get him used to it after a few weeks i moved to baby cereal and moved it to 8.30am and did it like that for a few weeks then i dropped a bottle and gave him a jar at 4.30ish and a pudding and that what he is having at the min. a bottle of milk at 7.30am breakfast at 9am bottle at 1pm a jar of dinner and a jar of pudding at 4.30pm and a bedtime bottle at 7.30pm and he is 7 and a half months hope that helps

  12. umm soft foods like yogurt and that stuff like sauce i 4get what its called but soft stuff scince they have no teeth

  13. when baby is wide awake and hungry baby food or cereal when sleepy and fussy give bottle. no one can give you the how much part because every baby is different it's a try and see thing. try the cereal a little on the runny side first to make sure baby can swallow it easily and gradually thicken it. and for baby food stage 1 or 2 they are the thinner ones again the food should be easy for baby to swallow at first.
