How do you feed a baby salamander?

I have a baby salamander at the park I work at and we are trying to figure out how to feed it. I put it on a cookie sheet and offered it small earthworms that we dug up, but he wasn't interested. Do you think if I we just leave the worms in the dirt where he lives in his cage that he will eat them?

  1. u could try pin head crickets or friut flies. if is a semi aqautic/aquatic salamander u could try daphnia.

also i would leave it with the food (but not to long in the case of crickets as they can nibble and bite the salamander)
