I think all parties should be happy.  Brett gets to play again and the Packers get to move on with Rodgers.

With no "back-door" clause, he'll play for the Jets for 1 year, then to Minnesota.

The whole saga was weird. However Farve needed to move on. The Packers needed to move on. And in their own way, the Jets needed to move on -- Pennington was a very popular player but was not going to take them to the next level. Farve brings more talent to them for the upcoming season and hopefully, barring injuries, we get to see some exciting QB match-ups.

The final outcome (Farve going to the Jets) is a fair-to-good short term solution for all parties involved.
