I think it's absolutely spot on. IPL takes no prisoners especially when there's so much serious money and reputation at stake. Good for you Vijay. India needs gutsy 'para chele' like you. All you are saying, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Makes sense to me.

  1. everyone is free 2 speak wat he thinks , but u should only b aware that it does not anybody's feelings.the reason must b bcoz he is loosing all d matches.

  2. I dont agree with Mr Vijay Mallaya. U always can't blame Rahul dravid. He is a fine cricketer. But Vijay Mallya always thinks abouth his business. He is Ofcoz a hard businesser, But i dont think he is correct !

  3. I do not agree with the criticism of Mallya that he wanted certain players, but because of Dravid he did not try to get them.  After all being the franchisee, he is the boss and he had full freedom to auction any player he wants and he need not listen to what Dravid tells.  His statement after couple of defeats does  not make any sense.

  4. He is the boss, he owns a team, he is the investor. He expects return like any of us would as well, if in his place.

He is not in the IPL for the good of the game or promoting the game, he is in for the Money and Success, so far he is not getting either of them, he can do whatever he likes and say whatever he likes, about the team he owns (pool of professional players ...)

    The boss is always right!

  5. I agree with you whole-heartedly.

  6. I personally find these outbursts disgusting.  Shows he is a bad loser.  He is publicly humiliating the person he trusted at one point.  So its his own judgment that was bad.  He should take all the responsibility and blame.  He is treating a cricketer of Dravid's caliber like dirt.  Bad,  very bad.

Dr. Mallya is a hard-core businessman.  He should know not all ventures turn profitable inspite of best efforts.  He is being childishly  petulant.  His outbursts will bring the morale of the team further down.  He should have chided the captain in private.  Such public displays aren't healthy at all...

  7. Vijay Mallya is not speaking. It is his money speaking. It is his arrogance speaking. To belittle players of the level of Dravid is his foolishness. Unfortunate that BCCI allowed moneybags to own cricket players. What is the contribution of Vijay Mallya to cricket that he should talk the way he did ? He went beyond all decency to talk rudely like a ruffian.

  8. the team mite be losing.but wats he trying to prove by saying in public.he was the one who chose the team, bought the players.agreed dravid, coach etc have input as well but he can decide-its his club.and dravid is the last player to criticize.he always tries his best.u an c that.

  9. Hello!

Mr Mallya has every right to be upset with those in charge of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their performance has been miserable. But by publicly criticizing the captain and sacking the CEO, all he has shown to the world is that he can't face defeat. He is giving excuses to the public in a mistaken belief that it will help him save face. His cribbing like a child that he couldn't have it his way is not going to do his team any good, is it? The people he chose to handle his team couldn't deliver; it's as simple as that - it's not as if these things didn't happen with his business ventures!

And what do you find so gutsy about publicly criticizing his 'employees'? After all, he's their boss, so to speak.

What he has said makes sense, but the problem is that he shouldn't have said it to the media. It is unbecoming of a business tycoon like him to act as gracelessly as he has.

    Best Wishes, Ashish

  10. It is important for the owner to back his icon and captain come what may. Morally what he did was wrong.
