How do you feel about Muslims?

Question

Ever since I was little I wanted to go to NYU, But after various visits to New York I realized that some of the people were bias to me for being Muslim .So I decided that I,who doesn't like feeling outside couldn't live in the city I know not everyone is not bias but I couldn't take it.So I am asking you How do you feel about Muslims? Curious, I guess and can you tell me a good college for muslims.

I'm sorry that people treated you that way. We have many here that are Dr.s. Excellent ones at that. My children's Dr is a muslim. People are so afraid of what they don't know. And instead of asking they decide to hurt. Things are so horrible right now. I send you a hug, and wish you the best.~

there are just as bad as any other religions. although i think they push far to much for special privilege

Wow, sorry about that. A lot of my friends are Muslims and they're great people, just like any other great person would be.

I don't mind Muslims that are willing to live in peace with everyone else.  What I don't like is Islam itself, what it teaches, or mohammed.

They us "Peace and blessings upon you" and they have a strong faith to their God. What I disagree about them is that they serve God in a wrong way. As I believe, they are somehow strict with their religion.

I judge people as individuals.

I live in NYC.  I don't think you'd have a problem here.  NYU is a fabulous school, and living in Manhattan is always an adventure.  

I say give it a try.  You can always transfer.

The same way I feel about any other group...they are people, there are good ones and bad ones.

Muslims are just people,some are bad,some are good.As a rule I try to judge each person as an individual.My only problem with Muslims,is like other Religious people,they believe that through some relationship with some fictional Deity,they know the answers to how all mankind must live.And if you fail to live by that standard,you are somehow a lesser being.I find that kind of arrogance bothersome to say the least.

Now if you asked me how I feel about "Islam" itself,that's another answer entirely.Muslims are individuals,and like all individuals all of them are different.Some are decent,some are not.Some are Tolerant,some are not.Some are Peaceful,some are not.But Islam,as an Institution,has yet to bring anything good to humanity.It has bred division,intolerance,oppression and death.Look at every part of the world,where Islam is the dominant Religion,the proof of what Islam creates is right there before your eyes.Like in Iran where you can be punished for not wearing a headscarf,or hung for being a Homosexual. Because Islam tolerates no other beliefs,it is all about total control.And every society where Islam is the dominant Religion,is an intolerant,oppressive society.
