when he did the same thing the week before. Don't get me wrong, Sadler is my favorite driver ut I have to say I disagree with him bashing Allmendinger. I am just as mad at Allmindinger as he was but he shouldn't have said anything the week after he did the same thing. What do you think? No bashing will be tolerated.

  1. There probably aren't too many drivers out there who have never made a mistake driving and causing an accident at some point in their career,  I know I would be mad as heck at the time but then they need to let it go and just move on to the present race and concentrate on having a good race and winning and not worry about what happened last week, NO bashing

  2. When he hit the wall he hit his head and was suffering memory loss when he gave his interview! That's all!

Hey, the drama is what makes this sport entertaining!

  3. I can see him being mad at the heat of the moment, but I hope he saw the video and got over it.  It was just racing.  And I like Sadler, too.

  4. I did find it rather hypocritical since he did the same thing last week

  5. there's tears on my pillow

  6. thats just racing i mean the # 84 got lose an it was wrong place wrong time for #19 i mean there are no points on the line so id be like go go get over

  7. Things go wrong and you get ticked off. Sadler is trying to make something happen in a less than stellar season and I'm sure he feels the pressure being only at 28th in the standings. He's done pretty well when he has not had the mishaps, especially at the restrictor races.

  8. i'm glad to see him to get a little riled up over it, even if he did do the same thing the week before.  it shows passion, and passion is a good thing to have on raceday.  who amongst us hasn't gotten angry over someone doing to us that which we have done to others, and probably many times - especially right after it happens?  even i, the most serene person on the planet (right!!!), gets riled occasionally when some moron cuts me off on the road, or posts a REALLY stupid or inflammatory question on this "forum" (not this one, btw, as i'm giving it a star ;-)

he might have hit a little low in his comments, and i'll bet that by next week he'll have gotten over it and realized the irony of the situation.  and i'll also bet that even though allmendinger didn't really "apologize" for it after the race, he will now that the excitement over winning the showdown has subsided.  they're racers and they understand how mouths often work faster than brains in the heat of the moment.

that's my $0.02.  but i have to think that way - look at my driver...what a hypocrite i'd be to say anything otherwise...

    ;-)

  9. I missed the Showdown race but that is pretty CRAZY! I have nothing against Elliott but that is Crazy!

  10. (sigh) Sadler's my favorite driver too and I was furious about the wreck, so it's hard for me to be objective. I can't blame him for being mad and frustrated, but yeah, you shouldn't bash somebody for making the same mistake you did a week before.  It's like when he preached a hard line on cheating after Edwards' missing lid controversy, when he himself was caught cheating at Daytona the year before.

I guess my excuse for him is that he's under a lot of pressure and just isn't thinking things through before he speaks.

  11. No bashing is right...thank you

but, both need to grow up and move on...

drivers getting mad at each other is normal..........

    that's called Racing

just like rubbing and bumping is racing

    getting mad is also, unfortunately.

  12. Tom it is racing, I wasn't happy with Sadler and Smoke in Darlington... I just wish Wallmendinger had not have won the Open race, I hated it when he and Sadler got into it, Elliott is such a great good ole boy, I just wish he could get a break and have a great race, he had a great car..I just think AJ was sick of the #84 getting all the attention from winning that Pit Crew thing, and he knew if he could pull off a win in the Open, he'd show up #84 team... You know being a Sadler fan is just as hard as being a Dale Jr fan both of these guys are so overdue for a win.. Its gonna take while before Wallmendinger gets any respect from me....I'm not bashing..But why did it have to be Elliott..dang it.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
