  1. It sent ice cold daggers into my spine. Was I listening to a new Hitler?

  2. Bush's speech writer wrote it. It had that same divisive Karl Rove tone. More of the same. Since when is being an intellectual a bad thing?

  3. She hit a home run!!! She couldn't have done any better and she was far better than Biden or Obama. She brought it!!!! I am so excited for this election!!

  4. Hillary can kiss my red white and blue ***!  GO PALIN!!

  5. It was the absolute BIRTH OF AN ICON! Her speech ran circles around Obama, Biden, the Media and everyone else who thought that insulting her 17 year old daughter was "fair game".

What is fair game is hitting a man who is presumptuous enough to give a speech in front of a 'greek temple' and believes himself qualified to be President.

Palin is not only the end of Obama's career, it is also the end of many other Republican wannabes hopes to EVER reach the White House.

This is a beautiful day for America

  6. Outstanding.

She was relaxed and enjoyed herself

  7. She's a liar!  Stating that she turned down money for the road to no-where projectt.  She wasn't even in office at the time.  She also said she was going to tell us what her 'actual responsibilities' are and never did.

  8. Interesting that 99 percent of the people on this Yahoo page, that LIKE Sarah Palin appear to be a member since YESTERDAY??? Sounds to me like they appeared just like Sarah Palin did. OVERNIGHT. I feel sorry for her. No one did her background check. She tried to fire the sheriff which is still under investigation. Her speech was predictable focusing on everyone but herself, very PRACTICED and boring.

  9. She was great!  She spoke calmly but her message, especially to Obama, was loud and clear.  I especially like this one:

"The American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of 'personal discovery.' This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn't just need an organizer," Palin said, a clear reference to Obama's time as a community organizer in Chicago.

  10. It was great. I'm going to send in $5 more to support the local PTA because of it.

Alaska was the only state in the roll call to not have all the delegates vote for John McCain. That seems interesting. They gave 5 of their votes to Ron Paul out of 29 total.

  11. I was really disappointed. I really don't think anybody old enough to vote and sober, thought much of her speech. Sorry, but it was really sort of simple-minded.

  12. She was outstanding.  ROTFL.  She has guts.  I love that.  The best VP pick possible.

  13. I think that her remarks about community organizers was an insult to all community organizer whether they are black, white, asian, hispanic. She did what she had to do for the GOP, but when it comes to establishing the issues and having a firm standing on them (which she did not even talk about who the middle class is, the economy, education, health care), she is not strong if she is not willing to make some compromises.

  14. Zero substance.  It was like a speech to a bunch of frat boys.  She would give a one line zinger and people would cheer or boo depending on the comment.  Then she would move on to the next one liner.  Absolutely nothing revealing, insightful, or having the slightest hint of being policy related.  Very much more of the same. " My opponents offer big government, big taxes, blah blah blah"   Come on, blasting a guy because he was an active community organizer?  Since when is that an undesired  thing to have on a resume.

Even if you buy the rhetoric, how can you consider it a great performance?  She read the same old stuff from a teleprompter.  Any public official could have done the same.

All said and done, it becomes apparent that the ultra-religious right wing of the Republican party got their way and forced McCain to pick someone suitable to their agenda.  I loved the McCain of 2000 that refused to speak at Bob Jones University because of their divisive policies.  I supported him in 2000 just to see him crushed by the religious right.  I guess he learned that he couldn't beat them, so he joined them.

  15. It pumped me up... I'm so for Sarah Palin she's real and not faking it. I think she did terrific on her speech.  I also think she's a breath of fresh air which is needed in our world.  I think the two of them make a good team.  Far better deal them Obama and Biden.  I pay no attention to the media they are all basically for Obama.  Go John and Sarah!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. I thought she did a really great job.

  17. She was charming, spoke eloquently, and stated nothing but the facts. Her speech was absolutely outstanding.

McCain and Palin just got any undecided votes-- and more than likely quite a few of the oppositions votes.

Whether you call her a barracuda, a pit bull or just a "hockey mom" she has won the hearts of many voters around the country.

Keep up the good work! And God Bless America!

  18. Brilliant, smart - better than she had to be, even - the libs are already making snarky comments about how "strident" she was....have you seen a speech by Hill, or Pelosi, or Boxer - they're never referred to as anything other than strong.

She's the best thing to happen to national politics since Ronald Reagan.  Without guile, no claims to perfection (O should take his lesson).  Terrific message, terrific delivery, by a terrific person.

  19. i thought it would be a little better..but she still did good

  20. LOVED IT!  So glad to see a woman on the ticket who is both likeable, very open and believable and a real person to boot!  We need true courageous reformers in Washington not just platitudes and political correctness. BRAVO and BULLY Kick *** ms Palin and her running mate!

  21. She's a moron.
