bets more people would accept it if the 20 year old was male (inexperienced male with a mature woman) personally i don't see anything wrong (as long are both over the legal age in their country) so to me no it doesn't matter if its the male or female that's older/younger - look at ann Nicholle she must of been at least 50 years his junior

it depends on how "mature" the 36 yr old is regardless of gender.

one has to wonder about anyone who is 36 yr old and they date a 20 yr old. sounds like it's just for s*x. then there's that line you hear about the 20 yr old... "oh he/she is so mature for their age"

NO, because AGE is not  a REFLECTION of what individuals really are. Age just determines how long you've been in  existence but not how you live your life.

Not really, I'm 38 and my last 3 gal friends were, 22, 23 and 25. We got along great.  Let's put it this way, whoever is the older one is the lucky one in this relationship, that's for sure.

I don't think that gender matters. But I do feel that people should date around thier own age. Yes there are plenty of good relationships with age difference,but you should think down the road. The 20 year old should be able to have some more free time. The 36 year old has had the opportunity to do what they have wanted in life.

My daughter's nanna is 60, her husband is 47 :) And they've been married 20 years and could never be happier.

Sorry, but that's just a little too much of an age difference. If someone is going to start dating people MUCH older than them, then they should at least be about 35. That way, maturity levels truly match up. It's one thing to be like 20 and date someone 25 or younger, but 36...the mindset and maturity just isn't on the same page.

As a good acquaintance however, that's no biggie. Having older friends to share wisdom with gives a great advantage. Plus it makes the other feel young and indeed helpful.
