How do you feel about alien immigrants? Should we let them in?

Suppose we discovered alien races in far away planets... who were peaceful and whatnot. Sentient species.

Should we allow them to settle on Earth?

Should we permit plants and animals to be brought which could change our ecosystem?

I believe in equality... between all intelligent species...

But should we not protect our culture and environment from foreign influence? Even if we permitted cultural contamination, should we permit biological exchange?

If you havent figured it out yet, this is a hypothetical question.

  1. This question doesn't belong in an immigration forum. Immigration...as we know it today...pertains to HUMANS from the planet Earth.

It should be asked in one of the science forums (astronomy & space, UFOs, extraterrestrials, etc.)

    EDIT:

I suggest YOU look up the word immigration. Immigration laws pertain to humans...NOT extraterrestrials. Go back to school!!

I repeat...this question does NOT belong on an immigration forum.

  2. We should allow them to settle on earth as long as they allow reciprocal settlement and travel. As far as allowing plants and animals remember killer bees and the Law of unintended consequences!!!!

  3. No,deport!

  4. "Hypothetical question" or not, alien species, plants, animals, etc. from other planets is not immigration. There are currently no immigration laws in any country that you can apply to what you are suggesting. Immigration laws are for individuals (human beings) that wish to migrate from one country to another, NOT plant, animals, and alien species from other planets.

Would you like a link to the definition or can you find it yourself?

  5. We should allow some to stay , but not allow them to bring any of their native flora or Fauna since it woul create an environmental disaster.   Also they need to be sterile so they don't contaminate the earth with their bacteria.

  6. The term immigration does not pertain to alien beings, plants, and animals from other planets.

ProUSA2 is correct. You are wrong.

  7. We don't know their intentions. They might be aggressive

  8. Yes we should, they'll probably take on the jobs that the Earthlings don't want to do.

But seriously, if we can learn from them and integrate them to improve our lives and our planet, why not?
