How do you feel about modern science and technology?

do we really need new products and new inventions?

I think that modern technology has his utility, but sometimes produces a lot of things that we really don't need.

For example there are too many types of mobile phone and sometimes it's difficult use them.

Other point: we have a lot of information about a lot of topics, but we have not time to reflect about it. It's true that now we can chat with people very far from us, but we have no more the time to take care of people near us and some times we not even know what is happening to them.

In the same way now happen that parents give to childrens the mobile phone ,  becouse they hope to check  what they are doing during the day while they work , but would be better could be present with them . So I sometimes am worried about modern tecnology.

For the most part I think it's wonderful. I like all the modern appliances, home heating and cooling, TV, computers and am looking forward to when the small laptop is fed from satelite and easier to use; could replace books in school they say.

Advances in medicine is awesome from even one decade ago.

Our choices in safe foods and alerts for ones that aren't is great.

What I dislike is that so many work in war and space projects instead of the humanities.

Well man's pursuit for convenience has been here ever since the dawn of civilization. Technology will only dig deeper as long as science leads the way.
