They are doing the same thing in South America, mining occurs where the minerals are, it is a fact of life.  Why should the Appelachians be any different than any other mountain?

Makes me feel sad, when will people stop and really look at what they are doing.  But I think the mighty $$$ sign blinds them.  Truely sad!

it's awful! there has to be a point when we say no more to corporate greed, and when we allow companies to destroy something as majestic as a mountain, how can we live with that? i mean, my God! a mountain! it's been there forever! how dare anyone even consider it?!!!
