How do you feel about people who notice small details?

Like the people who watch TV and say, "His tattoo is on the wrong side", or "You can see that the books in the background accentuate his personality". I never notice the small things and it gets to me. It feels as though I missed a friendly trinket by the writers.

  1. You could start by watching a familiar movie and focusing on the backround to start to train your eye...

  2. it doesn't matter. The concept of that movie is what the writers worth.

  3. My husband does it all the time. I will find things like that myself if I watch the move 2-3 times. Heck the first time I am watching for content. I want to know the story line and am not interested in knowing what is out of place or the little trinkets left to find by the producer. I feel that I get more out of the movie because I am not looking for the itty bitty details the first go round.

Point in case: We saw  "Wanted"  together. There is a point that someone's keyboard gets smashed and the letters fly off the keyboard. He noticed the little tooth that went flying but I actually was able to read that the keys flying off the keyboard said "F*CK You" LOL I think the U was the tooth but HE only noticed the tooth and missed entirely the letters on the keyboard.

  4. difference is between looking, seeing, applying, registering, observing, knowing, cognizing, awareness, consciousness and enlightment.

  5. well i think that sometimes such people have exeptional noticing power but other times they are just trying to find something to twitch

  6. I suppose to those people the details aren't as small as they appear to us!

For my own part, I tend to remember the "small" things about people e.g. what kids cartoons they liked when they were four and forget those big ones like birthdays.

  7. could be useful at times or annoying either way, either you notice the good things or the little bad things even, depends on how you use it, if its for art or a good book then great talent, if its used for observing humans then i hope you survive this existence happy.

  8. They're just being distracted because they're probably a perfectionist.  It really makes no difference in the end, unless they take action.  It's a quality called being observant...just like any other personality trait people carry.

  9. Can be help full, but usually very annoying
