How do you feel about police? 'good', 'bad', or 'indifferent'?

The Police are generally good people when off duty. But, I've noticed that when they're on duty, they tend to treat everybody the same. As an upstanding citizen, it fries me when they talk to me as if I'm a loser.

Actually, I am glad to have them around. Because honestly there are some bad cops but I for the most part believe they are good for our city's and  states. I mean ya when your a teen  you can't stand them. They wreck your fun then. You are not going to want them around.

    I would walk down the street with  my children and they would see a police officer and say they are bad huh mommy; and of course my ex would say yes. I told them no they are here to protect you. They try to keep the bad people away. They want you to feel safe when you are outside or in the house watching tv. They try to keep troublemakers in check. So never say the are bad. because without them there would be bad people everywhere, there would not be any one to keep you safe.

   As much as we(60's-70's) did not like them then it was only because there were so many police officer's that did not go by the rules, they were crooked and abusive.

   I also met a lot of police officer's that I would see walking their beat that we got to know because they were around a lot. We had respect for them because they respected us and they were the ones who really kept the streets clean. The beat walkers, they should have more of them now. The neighborhoods would be a lot safer and ;you would not have so many drug dealer's around. It is not like it was back then, The dealers and gangs they will shoot you in a minutes flat if you take their crack away.

   When we had beat walkers andgot to know them they actually would give us breaks all the time. You know the sixties and seventy's we had a blast we changed the world and they would be nice to us.

   So you have your bad and good but nowadays I say there are more good than bad and I am glad to have them around

I feel good about them and you should too. These days are different, to many people with guns. We need to get the officer's back on the street walking their beat and getting to know who is who. and what is going on. Thumbs up for them, and I would not have said that in the sixties, but I'll say it now. We learn a lot with age.
