How do you feel about psychics "knowing" private things about your life?

Question

Like someone once said .."The preacher's stopped preachin' and gone to medlin'!" Do you ever resent psychics knowing private things about your life? (Psychics.. please don't get mad at me or them..you should want to know these things..how people feel about what you do.)

well I would personally feel uncomfterble and stalked but at the sametime I don't really care

and yes I do usually say I know to almost every question except to some questions like the ones I do't know

and I don't see why people go to phsychics only they can control their own destiny and can see how thier future will go

Honestly, it's as much of a burden for us as it is for you. It's very much uncomfortable knowing things about someone. Sometimes things you wish you didn't know (it hurts a lot to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that someone you care about really doesn't care about you in return... or to know what someone really thinks of you but is too polite to say, to be able to feel it down deep).

But the really good psychics are the ones who take that stuff to the grave with them and only mention it when asked by the person it belongs to. You learn to let it go. The good ones consider it an invasion of privacy to know personal things about someone, things they know darn well that person doesn't want made public, and will try to block whatever they can.

and no, not mad at you, it's a natural question, just had to put in the other side of it. :)

The nicest ones will know and not let you know they know.  If it's your secret, they keep a secret until you are ready to mention it.  It's a fact of life for them, knowing private matters - sort of like how a doctor is used to seeing naked people.  Shouldn't make you worried.  They don't know everything about everyone - they have their own life to get in touch with too.

i've never encountered someone who said things that were private in my life in the way which you described, but i do have a personal code of ethics and i almost never read tarot of someone who hasn't asked me to... i feel like i'm "spying" and it doesn't feel right.

the idea of empaths freaks me out because i'm not sure i want someone to empathize with me ALL the time.... no offense empaths. though i'm very glad i'm not one.... i've heard the burdens are immense.

We are all individuals with different personalities.

Most people who have the reading/knowing ability is also a empath. Depending on the level of their ability and their personality trait. They won't say anything.

It does come in handy, you learn who to trust, who to stay away from.

I have learned not to answer a conversation before it is said by the other person. Unless I'm in a hurry and the convo is just a bs type of convo. I'll go directly to the end of it & be on my way.

I have yet to meet a psychic that knows (or at least will tell me) anything about my personal life.

Regarding your comment about "I know" from psychics I think that is just a standard response like therapist (mostly bad ones in my opinion) who frequently say "I understand"

I have yet to hear private information from a psychic.  They, like horoscopes, stick to vague or high-probability guesses in order to increase their chances of being correct.

I walk around trying to block out things if I get the "knowing" about someone.  It is uncomfortable for me to "know" things that have not been told to me directly. SOmeotimes I will ask the person if so and so is true, and they will ask me how I know, this is only if I feel comfortable. Most of the times I do shut this ability off, as it would be too much to walk around knowing everybodies business.

I am an open book, and I do not hide all that much, so when someone does this to me, I do not mind .

No, It's likely no one will know a thing about me. And if I did go to a psychic that's my own doing so I dont have the option to complain.

The psychics I know are not very good, so they do not know much about me. They try to tell me they know, but I know myself so I know they don't.

I sometimes wonder if real psychics are just good guessers and good at reading people and circumstances. I am not psychic, but I can predict what some people will do up to a year before they even know simply because I understand the way they think.

I have spent all my life studying people and it is not hard to know what certain people will do, but that only means you know how they think and you know them due to how they are, not that you really know personal things about them.

I have yet to meet a true "psychic" from what i have exeperienced, i always tell them enough for them to make a good "guess" at what might happen next.

and as for the "i know" a lot of people do that as a way to assure the talker that they care, or they can sympathize. It is like a figure of speech, it can jsut be akward coming form a psychic, maybe even a little creepy.

If you do know a "real" one, then I would guess that they would repsect you and try to "block" it.
