How many people are actually racist? Why? Have you ever sat down and talked to someone from another race? I'm black and trust me I know there are alot black people that show their *** but have you sat down and talked to an average person that is not the stereotype black person? There is so much more to us than what the TV and media shows. Why do you hate other races no matter what the race.

  1. I think everybody can show some types of racism. It's not that everybody needs hates people because of their ethnicity, but, people have their predepositions to others of a certain background. Even if we don't conciously know it, those things come from various parts of a person's past.

I think, in understanding racism, we need to confront this about ourselves and conciously make an effort to not let our own predepositions devolop into our perception of reality.

Anyway, people of color are typically depicted as a stereotype of television much, much, much more than Caucasians. It's the systematic set up of television. So, if I were you, support television, movies, and music that do not hold these stereotypes and be vocal about it.

  2. there are a lot of racists in the world, esp. in the south. mainly white people look at other races at not being american, even thought they were born in america. plus, people fear what they dont understand. and, i think most of it does come from the media and tv. like on the show cops, the majority of them are black people getting arrested, getting busted for drugs, or going to jail for fighting or shooting or stabbing someone.  people think of them as loud, obnoxious, hateful people. and im not going to lie, a lot of black people are like that. but, so are white people, asians, and any other race. its ridiculous.

  3. I feel racism is always going to be here. Racism doesn't always involve black people or is against only them. I can put what you said in vice versa against white people. There's stereotypes in every race, that people have to deal with. Not only black people. There's so much more to Indians (India), Hispanics, Asians then what the media shows. People hate other races simply because of the fact they're different. People naturally fear what's different from them. So instead of getting to know a person individually, they make it easier for themselves to hate by generalizing a group of people. EVERY race does this.
