As a physics degree holder, I think it is utterly retarded.  The pint is a defined unit.

You can't drive 700m and call it a kilometer!  

Man up and tell us you're using a 14oz, 12oz or 10oz glass.  Don't sit there and lie to my face by claiming it's a pint.

it's everywhere...next time you buy a 'half gallon' of ice cream, check the actual weight...

technically you cant make a pint glass smaller since a pint is a measurement of about 16 ounces

since a pint is an exact measurement how can you make it any smaller?

having said that, restaurants make all their money from alcohol, not food

Either it's a pint or it isn't. If you're not putting a full pint in a glass, but you're still charging for a pint, you're committing fraud.

That said, I live in a dry county and I like it that way.
