How do you feel about tattoos and piercings?

I think some tattoos could look really cool, but some are just too big and it looks stupid. Some of my friends are against all tattoos. The only piercings I do like are earrings (not the ones that make a huge hole in your ear), some eyebrow piercings (has to be small), and maybe a bellybutton or tiny nose piercing. What is your opinion?

I think its very subjective.  If you are a biker or a rock star they look awesome. If you are a lawyer, not so much.  It really depends on the person and the tattoo but I do like them.  I feel the same about piercings.  The problem with tats is that you are not born a lawyer maybe you were a gang member first.  But they look cool and right now they are very trendy.

well i think creativity and originality is great honestly. do i like every tattoo i see? no, not even close.

but do i like seeing people walking around knowing they strive to set themselves apart, yes. for sure.

you see, younger people always see the world in black and white. with time, this question will pose with a high dose of immaturity.

in a nutshell, yes, i do encourage tattoos and piercings. just as i encourage branching out and being yourself.

I'm all about the whole hard core culture.

I love gauges, septum rings are super hot.

My friends are covered in tattoos. I love tats.

I want a back piece but right now all I have is a little sparrow where you can't see.

I think it's all about the persona. if a person has the attitude to pull it off then more power to them. if not then don't do it.

It's a matter of personal choice. It drives me crazy when people judge about things like this. If it doesn't affect you, why should you care? People walking around with 'big and stupid looking' tattoos aren't causing you any harm, are they? And do I like every tattoo I see? NO. I have my own opinions about certain tattoos and piercings. But I don't preach about it.

And the people getting the tattoos and piercings know the consequences. We know that not everyone is going to like it. And if we get very visible ones, we know we'll have to cover them to get certain jobs.

I have six tattoos, one of them very visible (a quarter sleeve), 4 piercings, and my ear lobes stretched to a 00. And I feel bad for the people in grocery stores that give me dirty looks. I just think about what a sad world they must live in, being so closed minded, and all the wonderful people they'll miss out on meeting.

I'm all for them. However im only for tattoos if they have meaning to the person their on. It could be simple but if it dont have meaning then it's rather well *ahem*...But I love tattoos most tats have meaning and their beautiful artwork that no one can take from you. I like piercings too. I love originiality. Being yourself. I encourage them but i also encourage 1 thinkg about it before hand so you wont regret anything and 2 research aftercare and stuff like that so your safe about it. ANd just be you :)

Love them both (long as the tattoo is nicely done).I have a few of both myself,and i keep adding.I like sleeves the best,but i'm biased cause i have one and im working more (both lower leg sleeve and my other arm too).. lol

It's up to the individual and how they want to look.  Me personally I think some of the piercings go a little to far with the big holes in the ear lobes, but that's me.  Those people that become cats or lizards or whatever with the tattoo faces etc....A little much. BUT..I got my first tattoo at age 40. It was a military tattoo.  Ihad been out for 15 yrs before I got it.  I want to get more.   They kind of get addictive.  Maybe that's why people do tattoos and piercings.  It's an addiction......?

all facial piercings are good. if u can pull them off. theres nothing wrong with them. even gauged ears. i currently have plugs, snake bites, and my tounge pierced. tattoos are cool too. as long as u dont get them everywhere. like a sleeve tattoo. then it just looks like u were trying to be cool and a poser.

well if i were you i wouldnt get a tattoo cuz it looks like it hurts!! that sharp needle and everything!! and if you were going to get a tattoo so many choices how would you no wat to get!!! and plus if you end up not likeing it, or they mess up you have to go threw the trouble of getting it fixed or removed!! or you might have to suffer!!! and belly button peircings my friend told me hurt and get easily infected!! if i were you i would get a eyebrow piercing or maybe a nose piercing if you want it small.

I love all piercings! As long as you can pul it off, it doesn't matter how crazy it is. It's your personal style. Many of my friends hate piercings, but I don't care what they think.

I'm too young to get a tatoo, but when I'm 16 I'm getting one!!!

this is my opinion:

i like:

ear piercings but not too many and not in uncomfortable, wierd and pointless places

belly button piercings

the odd lip piercing

eyebrows ok

tatoos if their small, descreet and tasteful

small spacers

don't like:

piercings in horrible places

too many piercings

nose piercings

massive spacers

but thats my opinion. if it suits someone, i like it.
