Question:

How do you feel about teens not eating to lose weight?

what do you think about all the teens who go on crash diets and all that. i've officially stopped eating everything but fruits and veggies. all i will drink is water, milk and green tea. i will have real food maybe once a week. i'm gonna try this for a month to see how things go. i start in 1 hour. what do you think of teens who don't eat at all to lose weight?

  1. i think its hard for all teens because you judge your own body as being fat i remember having a breakdown a couples days ago for feeling fat and i've dealt with bulimia for 5 months and ive tried diets i couldnt stay on the diet because i was hungry and i couldnt resist but i dont think you should go on a full on diet jsut cut down on the fatty foods and drink soy milk and eat less dairy products make sure to eat fruits and veggies try mixing it up by adding some rice that is healthy and low on calories

  3. If you want to lose weight, this is NOT the way to do it. Sure, you'll lose weight in the beginning, but that will just s***w up your metabolism. It makes it slower, which will make you gain more weight. Just do it the healthy way.  

  4. I think many of them are seeking attention, particularly when they ask for people's opinions on it.

    Starvation diets don't work.  They will s***w up your metabolism, affect your ability to concentrate, cause your body to burn up muscle as well as fat, and deprive you of essential nutrients.  These things are particularly bad when you are still growing and developing--you could end up stunting your growth as well.

  5. That's not healthy, and you're going to get bigger before you get smaller. In desperation, your body will begin to rely on water weight, and you will bloat. Its much better to just eat the right way, and eat 3 square meals a day, and EXERCISE! Don't use a crash diet as a cheat, just because you don't feel like exercising and doing it the right way. Don't look for an easy way out. If you want to lose weight, commit and do it the right way. The concept of eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is good, but you need more than just that, you need vitamins, protein, fiber, etc. Make good decisions. ♥

  6. I think it wont work... I mean you will lose the weight, but only to a certain point and then your body starts conserving the food which makes it harder to shed the weight. its not a healthy solution, you body needs fiber and a whole bunch of stuff right. I tried it and it worked to lose maybe 5lbs, after that nothing... Stick to a healthy food plan and exercise, much better and you will also not wear away your body (deprevation has bad effects on the body). Best Wishes!

  7. You're an idiot for doing that and if you were half as concerned to look up the effects of a crash diet as you are about your weight, you might actually get off your lazy butt and exercise and eat right instead of starving yourself!

    Not everything you eat goes straight to your thighs, you know. Your body needs food to survive.

  8. I think it is dumb. To loose weight isn't about starving yourself. You just need to eat healthy and do exercises. Start eating green foods and just excersise. If you start to starve yourself its just going to make you feel sick and low.

    The right way to maintain a  health weight is to eat in moderation so you can get all the vitamins and proteins you need it is also important to get at least 30 min, of exercise a day

  11. i think teens who dont eat have self esteem issues. i know ill get thumbs down, but its true. all teens at some point want to feel like they need to be something to fit in, so we starve ourselves to lose weight and fit in with the in crowd or where ever we wanna fit in. i think that if you have to starve yourself just to fit in, then its not  worth it.

    thats just my opinion though.  

  12. This is definitely not the way to loose weight. I've honestly have seen people try to loose weight this method and the only thing that happens to them is they get sick and eventually end up in the hospital. All of them looked unhealthy, and pretty much like they haven't slept in a week.. and most of them don't have the progress that they want. What I have seen work, is just a cutback on the amount of unhealthy food. Like no fast food, sodas, or greasy / salty / fatty things. Try looking trough cook books or something to get better ideas on healthy eating, or even look it up online. Exercising is a really good way to hep loose weight, just make sure you drink plenty of water.

  13. I think it was the worst thing I ever did.

    I went on a diet similar to yours about a year and a half ago.

    It hurt my grades, my relationships and my body.

    My immune system went down the tubes, and I haven't had a regular period since.

    I knew it was a problem when I could see my ribs through my back and thought that it was cool

    Please don't do this.  It will only hurt you.  Learn to see yourself as beautiful the way you are.  If you do, others will follow.

    You will faint if you keep this up and it's bad for your body, mind and metabolism, you're such a stupid little drama queen, a serious attention seeker and I have no time for that c**p.

    If you want to lose weight, exercise daily and have 3 meals a day.

    If you're only eating fruit and veg then where is all your daily amount of carbs, fat and protein coming from?

    Get an education!

  15. i think that's crazy you just need to eat healthy and work out.stopping eating can effect you badly your body wont get tight you will loose fat and gain no muscle not to mention how weak you will be

    yur gona end up hurting yourself in the long run

    just drink water and cut back on intake

    and try jogging

    i lost the freshmen 15 doing that in a month
