  1. I am just glad he got caught pity it wasn't in Indonesia he would have to face their justice system luckily for him we don't have the death penalty in Australia even for drug dealer or murderers.

  2. I believe anyone who works in a leadership or such position should face heavier charges. They are meant to set a good example to the community.

Being a police officer does not mean they should be completely trusted. That's the thing when it comes to police officers getting caught for such act - thinking they won't be a suspect and to get away with it.

The death penalty will be impossible. Australia has abolished it for a long time and it's barbaric like someone mentioned to give them that. They should get a life penalty.

  3. The death penalty would be too good for him. Being a copper he will more likely suffer a great deal more than your average prisoner, or at least be in pretty much solitary confinement for whatever the amount of his sentence will be.

  4. He'll be tried and if found guilty will be sentenced according to the law of the country in which he was charged i.e. Australia.

Corby and the Bali 9 did their crimes in Indonesia and were caught and charged there, so they suffer Indonesian penalties. Simple really.

  5. 20 years should do it...Killing him is a bit barbaric for Australia.

  6. he hasn't been found guilty yet.

he's screwed if he is though

  7. Hopefully there will be justice in sentencing and he will not be given a reduced sentence because of who he is and how wealthy he is. There is no death penalty in Australia.  The last prisoner executed in Australia was Robert Ryan in 1967.

  8. It makes you lose trust in the system doesn't it? cops are the ones meant to be stopping this from happening and they're the ones that are doing it. can we trust ANYONE??

schapelle corby was convicted in bali so they judged her based on their justice laws. This guy might only get ten years, if that. they might be harsher. depends on the judge. what if he's in on it too....

  9. There's nothing new about corrupt cops in high places, when he goes to prison  the inmates will make sure  he gets his just deserts , which  probably will be worse than the death sentence.

Corby and the Bali 9 knew of the consequences of drug smuggling in Bali,  so they sentenced themselves.
