nanny state, bet he has a nanny

how about war on drugs, bet he has good drugs

war against child p**n, why did he go to costa rica?

  2. The Nanny State = California

Choices have consequences, the state is trying to take away your right to make choices so they don't have to deal with the consequences. The solution is not to outlaw choices its to let people suffer the consequences of their actions. If you don't bail out those who make dumb choices in their life they serve as examples to others of what not to do.

  3. If you are talking about the UK then yes, I think everyone’s gone mad.  You can’t do this or that.  For one the upbringing of the younger generation has been affected by it too.  An example, in days gone by, kids went out for the whole day and came back when it was dark, they didn’t’ say where they were going or who they were with, or when they’d be back, and they didn’t have a mobile phone.  These days kids are given 20 questions etc before they can even get “permission” or even step out the front door.  Fear for their safety is robbing them of their childhood.  I blame the media … reporting every single ripple of child related news (amongst everything else they tell us in microscopic detail), it makes people think it will happen in their street.  I’m not saying it won’t, but it has got to be put into perspective.  I could go on about the way the rest of the county is going but I won’t.  All I can say is no wonder so many people are emigrating.  I don’t know about it sounding American but it is definitely chipping away at our freedom.

  4. Very Liberitarian. Very interesting.

Problem is with freedom ...does that include things that the taxpayer needs to support?

Like the people penniless who are suffering from lung cancer YET Welfare still pays for their cigarettes because its their right to smoke.

Or the over 18 girls getting pregnant and going on welfare because they cannot support their babies. They have the right to have as many children as they want.

  5. I do agree with most of what he says, and the general tone of his article.  What he forgets to mention, is that freedom comes with responsibility.  I hope that we have not gotten so far that people can not take responsibility seriously.  For instance, as a smoker, I believe that all of these bans are ridiculous and an invasion on personal rights.  It takes too much of the decisions out of the businesses hands, and places it into the hands of the government.  The only ordinance or laws that were needed involves signage placed on the door of the business stating whether or not smoking was allowed.  If a business would  get a lot of complaints from non-smokers or lose business because of it, they would change.  But as a smoker, I take the responsibility to not smoke in closed areas around kids or others who may object.  I resent the people who are not satisfied with having most of the places smoke-free but have demanded it all.  If you don't like the fact that "Pete's" cafe allows smoking, there are twenty other places you can go.  If you don't want to work around smoke, don't apply to places that allow it!  If I were allergic to peanuts, I would not work for a peanut butter company.  Little by little, we are losing our freedom in this

country.  We are forced to buy expensive houses, because of all the regulations, and permits.  No longer can we buy a piece of land, build a little house ourselves and call it home, even if it is a little shack.  We are forced to buy expensive vehicles, not because our workers are paid too much, but because they must get a certain rating for fuel efficiency, and safety and must not pollute.  Let the people decide what is important!  Let's all run to the doctor with every pimple and sniffle and wonder why we can't afford to pay for it!

  6. i don't like it one bit

the only one who will treat you like a adult
