How do you feel about the name Sidney for a boy?

I'm kind of liking the name David Sidney...or Sidney David. Does everyone think the name Sidney is too feminine for a boy? When I hear this name, I usually think of a sweet, yet strong guy. The other middle name I like would be Alexander. Which combination of names do you like best? You're also more than welcome to mention any other middle names you may fancy. I thank you in advance!

I like David Alexander. I think Sidney has been used a lot for girls, so I wouldn't use it as a first name for a boy. If you really love it then I think it would be better as a middle name.

my almost step-sister's name is sidni (spelled funny, i know)

but it's said the same so yeahi think it's feminine.

Its soooo popular as a girls name- I personally wouldnt do it.  I dont even really consider it unisex anymore.

Personally I don't like the name Sidney, especially when it's not spelt correctly.  Think it's more of a girls name as well

Don't like David in the first name position, however it could work as a middle name

I like Sydney Alexander the best! I don't think it's too feminine at all, I actually think it is more masculine. You could call him Sydney Alexander David or Sydney David Alexander. It's a cute little boy's name but also a good, strong name for an adult. But I prefer the spelling Sydney not Sidney, sorry.
