How do you feel about the writer's strike now?

I remember that at the beginning of the writers strike in the 70s, we were all big supporters, but by the end the ultimate customers, the viewers, were extremely angry with the writers and their union. Of course, we haven't gone nearly as long as that yet, but I'm curious as to whether or not support is waning for them.

How are people feeling at this point?

*Strike,what strike? Nothings changed that I'm aware of from watching the stupid shows on the boob tube. Five minutes is all I can take! Thank God for my home theater,and my collection of classic movies.

The history channel/Discovery channel/Science channal!

This is such a tired subject. It's greed. Money makes the world go 'round, and that's especially true in Hollywood. It's cute to see Eva Longoria and Charlie Sheen out there, their bloated paychecks still being cashed, and these writers wanting a bigger cut, while the greedy networks refuse to give in. They're losing in ad revenues what they could be paying, but enough is never enough it seems...

I've said it before; I'll say it again:

If you could take the smallest sub-atomic particle that can physically exist, and if it were hollow, and if you could drill a hole in it...you could shove how much I care about the writers strike in there and still have room to cram the entire City of Los Angeles in there with it!!!

The corporate networks have taken the public airwaves away from the public in order to make money.  They were using writers to do it.  The corporate networks were supposed to be informing the public, but all they do is entertain,

Now the networks are trying to take the public internet to make money.  The writers now want a better share of that money because their talent drives the profits.

It's the system that's the problem.  Not the writers.
