  1. I think they are doing DNA tests so they can get the deadbeat dads to pay for their OWN KIDS instead of welfare paying for them to have mansions, etc. They might arrest some of the adults for fraud (defrauding the govt of welfare benefits.)

Also they might get some of the men for statutory rape, but if they girls don't tell the truth about their ages, that will be tricky.

  2. Why do these women speak that way? Are they THAT brainwashed that they have to speak so soft? Or is that their caring, giving voice? What the heck?

  3. It disturbs me. I don't like it when people take advantage of others, and that's what I think happened. I don't have a problem with the adults doing what they want with each other, but getting young teen age girls pregnant is another story altogether.

  4. I feel for all those kids as they have never seen a TV or car and never even seen anyone but their clones.those women on TV the mom's looked way out there too' but your right they are brainwashed and any man who marrys a 13 ys old girl or has s*x with her' should go under the jail house not in it.

  5. OMG! It's totally insane, right? Those women definitely seem brainwashed. It's scary!! I had no clue those even existed still. People are weird...

  6. Okay, I don’t care what adults do to and with each other willingly – so I have no strong opposition to polygamy in abstract; but in practice it tends to be, well like this stuff – creepy, misogynistic, authoritarian, and incestuous.

  7. I don't care if they want to live out in the middle of nowhere without electricity and have 20 wives.  As long as the participants are of legal age to make that decision, I have no problem with it.  The problem here is that they were forcing children to take part in polygamous marriages.  And that's obviously child abuse.

  8. I am not for young girls being married off to older men. That's a big NO NO.

Concerning the children being taken away.... that should not have happened. They should have taken away the real threat "the men" and left the children with the mothers. As long as the mothers are good mothers they should be able to keep their children. They should have had social works move in with them to get a real feeling for the situation.  And to find out how far they been brainwashed.

As thru out history we have seen women being brainwashed by men - so get rid of the brainwasher and not the victims.

  9. It's pretty creepy.  But then it's a pretty solid demonstration of what can happen when you abandon your critical thinking skills.

I see a lot of sexism when people discuss this.  It's all about the dirty old men vs. the young, pure, innocent girls.  This isn't a male vs. female thing as far as I'm concerned.  The crime lies in the fact minors are allegedly being forced into relationships with adults.  They are being held to make legal decisions (marriage) when it's well known they don't have the mental capacity to do so even if they were doing so willingly.

You have to realize what is going on there has been going on in the name of God throughout history.  Most of Western civilization has adopted a more liberal view of the relationship between man and God/the church, but this is a relatively recent event.
