What a sad, sad, sad state of affairs our country is in. We all obviously know this, but once in a while you read a story like this that just affects you more than others.

  1. That lady is a friend of my sisters (they stay in the same neighbourhood - Bonaero Park - up in JHB).

I have never met the lady, but my sister speaks well of her.

It makes me feel really sad, but at the same time I am so impressed by how brave that little girl is.

Young children have no prejudice or hate in their hearts, it is sad that the more you are exposed to the evils of this world, the more of a hater you become.

  2. It is amazing how brave she is after having experienced her first taste of crime without seeing the world first. Its horrible that someone shoots a person in a womb! What *****!

  3. I dont feel depressed..LIFE IS A B#%&*!!

  4. Really depressed and very angry, another innocent child sentenced to a life of suffering by African scumbags and violent criminals while the ANC continue to do nothing about crime in this country, really sickening, poor girl, can you imagine being born crippled or being the parent of a child born crippled, it must be difficult beyond imagination.

She truly does inspire with her positive outlook and reminds me that even when we forget, we still have much for which to be grateful, I wish her the best.

  5. This could have happened anywhere in the world.

Point being, the whole world is messed up. This young girl is lucky because others don't even get their story in the media..

  6. death sentence

  7. Ag I am feeling very depressed too.....................

  8. Defiantly a bit of both. It is inspiring to know the will of such a young kid. Depressed because of why she had to thru all of this. It is however amazing to know that she survived the whole ordeal.

Yes our country is in a sad state of afairs, but we still have to consider ourselfd lucky for everything we have. In a lot of other countrys this child would not have survived. We need to accept that we live in a 3rd world country and be glad that it is one of the better ones.

  9. i feel a bit of both emotions

really depressed that this could happen to anyone in the 21st century and for the hardship and the ordeal this young girl has faced so early in her life and really inspired at how she has not let it get in the way of anything and that she is determined to live as normal a life as possible its also made me realise how lucky iam and that i really have nothing to complain about ill rememebr this little girl the next time im about to whinge about something trivial and meaningless thanks for sharing that with us

  10. I really pity the child.

I'm inspired because she is still smiling despite of her situation.

  11. This world sucks and theres too many scumbags getting away with things

  12. This is an inspiring story and I think it was written to be an inspiring story. Agreed it is a sad state of affairs but here is a little gal who called a bullet hole in the butt - a dimple! She works hard at doing all the things a kid her age does and appears to do some exceptionally well. She does not strike me as a girl who is looking for a bunch of old, 'woe is me' types sitting in a yahoo forum using her plight as fodder for another pity party. She is proof that one does not need to wallow around in misery. That is a choice. Why do some of you always pick the negative choice?

You can take a negative and become fanatical about it and drag everyone down with you or you can find a positive and build on it and accomplish something. Should we put out a notice that South Africa is experiencing a shortage of sack cloth and ashes??

  13. Depressing, story indeed

  14. Its a miracle that she has survived, lets just try focus on the good stuff

  15. It is very sad, but this kid has a fantastic outlook on life.  Hope everything just gets better for her.

  16. thats awful but i feel both. Its great that little girl can stay positive but im disgusted at the fact some scumbag would shoot a pregnant woman.

  17. Some positive news for a change   -  i think few people would do what she is doing, i am proud of her, as for the animals who caused it - what you did will come back to you , only worse
